Prayer Spaces...

On my way home from the ASACCU conference, I stopped at the Chapel of Chicago Midway Airport for Mass on Saturday, 26 July 2008. Just two days before was the 20th Anniversary of Fr. McKenna's first Mass there.

The kind folks there were friendly and welcoming.

I enjoyed my stop in Chicago, but I also went on to Mass the next day, Sunday, at our home parish in Aledo, Texas.

Holy Redeemer Catholic Church holds Mass each Sunday at 10:00 am in the auditorium of the new Aledo High School at 1000 Bailey Ranch Road (Just west of Farm-to-Market Road 1187). Children's Religious Education is held at 8:45 am each Sunday at the new Aledo High School.

Our Pastor is Rev. Robert Wilson (Father Bob). Here are some photos of the school/Church:

Holy Redeemer is building a new Chuch on some nearby property, but it still has a way to go before we make the official move. More on that later...

The Folger Shakespeare Library

I visited Washington D.C. on Saturday, 26 July 08, and I stopped by to see the Folger Shakespeare Library.

Carved into the side of the building are panels depicting the plays of Shakespeare.

Of course, closer to home is our own Shakespeare Dallas!

And when in London, there is the incomparable Globe Theatre!

Luis, Angie, Sofia ( + Jake)

I had a chance to visit my friend, Sofia B. Hernandez, at her lovely home in Washington, D.C., on Friday night, 25 July 08.

Here are some photos of the outside of her stone castle:

Here are some pictures of the inside - very snappy!

This is Jake, the cat!

Here is Sofia and her dad, Luis Hernandez, on the refrigerator door!

"Who is this guy?!"

"Damn Paparazzi! I am trying to eat!"

The Liberty Bell Center

This was a beautiful day in the City of Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania and the sixth most populous city in the United States.
