Big Ben Anniversary
Big Ben Turns 150 years-old.
Historian Dan Cruickshank , who has made a programme celebrating the neo-gothic splendours of the Palace of Westminster, joins the Record Review's Alicia McCarthy in the studio to discuss the clocktower that houses Big Ben as it nears its 150th birthday.

On the occasion of the UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture,
Fr. Michael Begley CSSp., Director of SPIRASI, and Prof. Linda Hogan, Head of School, Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin cordially invite to the public seminar and discussion on:

with opening address by the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, at the Swift Lecture Theatre, Trinity College, Dublin 2, at 5.45pm on Thursday 25th June 2009.

(3) "The Centre for the Care of Survivors of Torture (CCST) – The Past, Present and Future" by Dr. Eileen Keane – Coordinating Physician of the CCST at SPIRASI
(4) "Waves of Insanity" by Laith – An Irish survivor of torture, originally from Iraq

From Wales to England
At the end of my trip, I stopped in London to visit Dr. Rajini Pani, at the Foundation for International Education.
The Foundation Building is located near the corner of Cromwell and Gloucester Roads, and is across the street from the Glouster Road Tube Station. This was our "home" stop when we spent the fall teaching in London as part of the study abroad program for St. Mary's University.
