Thursday was my mother's birthday and the single largest one-day snowfall in North Texas history. The paper says: "The 11.2 inches that fell Thursday shattered the record for snowfall in one day (7.8 inches in 1917 and 1964). The 12.5 inches that fell by 4 a.m. Friday also broke the 24-hour record of 12.1 inches on Jan. 15-16, 1964."

The wintry weather made for some beautiful scenes at the farm...

but this is where you wanted to be!
